All-on-4® ImplantsBefore and After   Over the past decade, an exciting development in implant dentistry has helped thousands of people who are missing all of their teeth, or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved, by providing an affordable alternative to traditional implant treatment. This procedure, called All-on-4 Implants, can provide a full arch of replacement teeth supported by just four specially placed implants without the need for bone grafting, which is usually required when patients have experienced significant bone resorption or deterioration. Before and After   This illustration shows how we can use four implants to replace all of the upper teeth, without bone grafting, by tilting two of the implants to avoid the sinuses - outlined on the far left and far right. 
All of the lower teeth can be replaced with four implants by tilting two of the implants to avoid the nerve that runs through the lower jaw - also outlined on the illustration. The tilted implants are longer than the other implants, providing strong support with only four implants, as opposed to placing additional implants to get that stability. 
Before and After   Following a consultation, which includes a dental CT scan and diagnostic work-up to determine if a patient is a candidate for the procedure, the replacement teeth are fabricated using digital planning software. This makes it possible to have the replacement teeth available to be placed on the same day that the implants are placed. Before and After   Over a four-month period, the bone will remodel around the implants, forming a strong bond as the foundation for the new replacement teeth.
